Cannot believe we're halfway through 2025! What accomplishment(s) are you proud of from this first half of 2025?

Piggy backing off of last week's Momentum Monday where we talked about different components of athleticism Strength, Power, Hypertrophy and Muscular Endurance.
In case you didn't know: athletes cycle their training to achieve these different training outcomes.
Obviously athletes want to maintain these all traits of athleticism at all times, however certain training outcomes and stimuli can't be maximized simultaneously.
Similar to the idea that while you can lose weight and gain muscle simultaneously, it is often a lot slower of a process than if you were to focus on either gaining muscle and then losing weight (or vise versa). If you want better adaptations you have to focus on one at a time.
For example, athletes need to be able to be explosive and quick throughout a game AND be able to last the 60+ minute session. However, Power and Muscular Endurance are pretty much polar opposite outcomes of training. Power is low reps, high speed, high force and Muscular Endurance is high reps, moderate speed, low force. We have to train these opposing training goals separately to get the maximal performance outcomes and adaptation.
Even if you're not competing in sports or games, you still need to be able to have your body be able to move suddenly/forcefully/powerfully AND be able to have the endurance to move for an hour.
All this to say, it's important for you to know that we can't always train certain elements of athleticism simultaneously even though we need to consistently maintain need all elements of athleticism. There are many ways to cycle these training adaptations and program them. My clients want to be well rounded athletes and/or are concerned about longevity and I program all of this for them so all they have to do is execute.
If you're not already training this way - maybe this is your sign to start. (Lucky for you, my monthly program takes care of all of this for you so you don't have to. If you have any further questions, obviously feel free to ask me ☺️)
