Mindfulness ✪

To be conscious or aware of something

Piggy backing off of last week's Mindfulness exercise about your 80 year old self, part 2 is: what would your 10 year old self appreciate you doing?

Mentionable ✪

Refer to something briefly without going into detail. Important or noteworthy, memorable

You know I love James Clear and I came across one of his articles: Master One Thing. Quick read, but what I liked about it was restating an obvious obstacle we (or at least I) all tend to fall into. So often we have great intentions and want to accomplish so many things at once, but "researchers found that people who tried to accomplish multiple goals were less committed and less likely to succeed than those who focused on a single goal."

So here's a friendly reminder to keep it simple, slow it down every once in awhile, and focus on mastering one thing at a time.

Motivation ✪

Meant to inspire: being mentally stimulated to do or feel something

I found this quote awhile back while looking for quotes about summertime and it just felt fitting for Birthday Week and the year that has been 28:

“My dear, In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love. In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile. In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm. I realized, through it all, that… In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back. Truly yours, Albert Camus” — Pearl S. Buck
